Welcome.

jim fitts Hello.

Advertising. Design. Interactive. Photography.

I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in each of these disciplines. This site showcases a few examples of what I've produced over the last three decades and gives you an update on what I'm currently involved in. Enjoy.

Boston Boxing.

I purchased my condominium in Allston just over 20 years and I can’t imagine living in any other part of Boston. Allston has a wonderfully diverse population and a remarkable selection of businesses that support its residents.

I selected a neighborhood boxing gym called Boston Boxing & Fitness as the location of this series. It epitomizes a number of the qualities I think make Allston a unique place to live. It is a non-assuming, local gym where men, women, and young athletes of all abilities come to workout. It is definitely not a dating bar health club. Jim Fitts photograph of Boston Boxing & Fitness.
The first time I visited the gym, I watched an instructor coaching a young boxer. Knowing how hard a boxing workout is, I realize that this is a place that pushes young athletes beyond what they think they are capable of. Boston Boxing & Fitness is home to many local high school and college athletes who pour their hearts out on the field...but as they say on their website, “their sweat and tears belong to us!”.

My photographs can be seen on my Boston Boxing blog here.

Jim Fitts's 60th birthday celebration featuring the Fabulous Wingtips
"Goodnight Allston!!!"

The end of an era? Perhaps.

On July 26th, The Fabulous Wingtips performed on stage at the Wonder Bar in Allston for the first time in ten years. Over 100 friends and family attended the combined fundraiser for Toys for Tots and Jim Fitts 60th birthday party.

Due to the generosity of the people who attended, the Marines left with mounds of toys and cash.
